Gostomel was under occupation from the first day of the war. These were terrible weeks for us and our tails😔 Hundreds of defenseless animals were under constant artillery fire. We did not have stable access to fodder, water... We heated the shelter with leftover wood, but even that was not enough.
The worst thing happened when shells hit the roof of the shelter. Seeing its condition for the first time, we were horrified: the roof was incredibly damaged, it looked like a sieve.
As soon as the city was freed, we started looking for ways to reconstruct the roof as soon as possible. UAnimals came to our rescue
🤝 On their initiative, our shelter was able to start rebuilding the roof.
The cost of repair is 1.5 million hryvnias.
Thanks to their funding, we were able to restore the huge roof, which was damaged by shelling during the occupation of Gostomel, in an incredibly short time.
Animals can not be afraid of the cold, now they have a place to live in comfort and warmth🧡 We feel incredible happiness and gratitude to everyone who joined the support of the Gostomel shelter in such a difficult time for the country.
